My passion for make-up and beautifying began at the age of 4, when my mother walked into her bedroom to find me sitting at her dressing table with blue eye shadow smeared across my eyelids and lipstick everywhere, but my lips!

I graduated from the University of Cape Town in 1995 with a Diploma in Ballet. At the Ballet School we were taught different techniques, effects of stage make-up and period make-up. I was fortunate enough to complete two dancing contracts, dancing on Cruise ships sailing around the Mediterranean and Caribbean. Unfortunately an injury cut my time short and I decided to settle in London.

Here, I worked as an Executive Consultant in the corporate world of recruitment but longed to release my creative streak, so in 2005 I enrolled myself at the London School of Beauty and Make-Up where I graduated as a make-up artist and I've never looked back. I specialise in professional Wedding/Bridal and Special Occasion Make-up (including Matric dances), Photoshoots, as well as Personal Make-Overs.

In February 2009 I moved back to South Africa and am now based in Cape Town.

I always recommend a detailed trial for bridal make-up so that on your wedding day you are relaxed.

The bridal make-up trial is arranged at a location of your choice in Cape Town or surrounds and is where we discuss your vision for the look you want to achieve. I encourage brides to bring along bridal visuals which can assist in explaining and creating your desired look. We will also chat about your dress, colour scheme, flowers, location, itinerary of the wedding; and beauty and health tips leading up to your wedding. We will also decide together if make-up should be done before or after your hair.

I will examine your skin type so that we utilise the appropriate beauty products to suit your complexion. My goal is to ensure you glow on your wedding day, so I encourage you to provide me with feedback as your vision comes to life.

I will illustrate different looks to help you decide, if required. I know sometimes it can be difficult to articulate the desired look you are trying to achieve. My aim is to make this experience really enjoyable for you.

Your make-up utilised in the trial will be documented so that we don’t lose the essence of the look on the wedding day. Make-up on the day will be applied to last the duration of your special day. Since you will be photographed and videotaped, camera lights are of a concern. These lights tend to make the skin look paler and shinier - make-up helps compensate for this. Your make-up will be applied to create appealing wedding photographs taking this lighting into account. Remember your lipstick and pressed powder are the two items that you will want to have with you on the day.

Once you are completely happy and would like to book my professional make-up artist services, a 50% deposit is required to ensure a booking for your day.

I will check in on you intermittently leading up to your wedding day.

Please note that I will always arrive at the requested location on time to make sure you are ready with time to spare.

The bridal make-up on the day will take approximately one hour, and 45 minutes for each bridesmaid and mother-of-the-bride/groom.  I can also arrange a trial date for the bridesmaids and mothers should you need.

Keep in mind that a healthy diet and exercise will contribute to a glowing skin and your beauty on the day.
